“Healthy Building” infographic to combat fears of Covid-19 and the workplace.
As the world began to shift toward post-pandemic recovery and employees were preparing to return to the office, JBG SMITH recognized the need for a comprehensive, user-friendly resource that could guide their 844 employees through the transition. My team was tasked with creating an informative booklet that would streamline this process and ensure a smooth return to the workplace.
To make the booklet intuitive and easy to navigate, we employed a color-coded system that allowed users to quickly identify and access the sections relevant to their needs. Each department and area of interest was assigned its own distinct color, making it simple for employees to locate the information they were searching for. The design prioritized clarity and ease of use, ensuring that employees could quickly absorb the key points without being overwhelmed.
Additionally, we created digital versions of the booklet, including simple PDFs, to facilitate easy internal printing and distribution. These PDFs were optimized for both digital and physical use, ensuring accessibility for all employees. The booklet was complemented by a series of email communications sent to the entire workforce, reinforcing key information and directing employees to the available resources.
This project not only provided employees with a clear, structured guide for returning to the office but also underscored JBG SMITH’s commitment to providing a seamless, organized experience during a period of transition. The outcome was a highly effective communication tool that helped employees feel confident and informed as they returned to their workplace.
