Instant Eligibility Verification System (IEVS)

UI design for applicants to apply and be verified to receive benefits, ADA and WCAG compliant

While at MOD/Intelechy as the Associate Design Director for User Experince, I led the redesign of the Income Eligibility and Verification System (IEVS) website, focusing on enhancing both the user experience and the efficiency of the data collection process. The primary goal was to improve the system’s ability to seamlessly collect, store, and analyze data within the organization’s internal data engineering framework.

To achieve this, I collaborated closely with the data engineering team, gaining a deep understanding of the technical requirements and workflows. Together, we devised a strategy that would not only streamline the process for users but also ensure that the collected data could be easily integrated and utilized within the backend system.

The redesign included a comprehensive update to the visual identity of the website, including the introduction of a modernized logo that better represented the organization’s goals. I also refined the typography, opting for modern fonts that were more readable and aligned with current design trends. To enhance user interaction, I introduced vibrant call-to-action buttons and expanded input fields, making the site more intuitive and visually engaging.

Each page and component of the site was meticulously designed in Figma, allowing for a precise, collaborative, and iterative approach. We ensured that the design was cohesive across the entire platform, with a focus on providing a seamless and user-friendly experience. By prioritizing user-centric design principles, we aimed to reduce friction in the data entry process and create a smoother workflow for the users.

The outcome was a significantly improved Income Eligibility and Verification System that not only met the technical and functional requirements but also delivered a more intuitive, aesthetically pleasing, and efficient experience for the end users. This redesign ultimately contributed to optimizing the internal processes and enhancing overall user satisfaction.
